Perbandingan Ini dan Itu: Antara Super Junior dan JKT48 [UPDATED]

Aside

Terimakasih.

Perbandingan Ini dan Itu: Antara Super Junior and JKT48

Annyeong~

Entah apa maksudnya.. Pembenaran diri? :))))

Tapi, semakin ke sini, I find myself getting too much in love with Akicha, Rica, and Beby. Akicha, terutama.

Penyebutannya, kalau dipakaikan nama member, akan cenderung English-based.

Waktu nonton konser Super Show 4 pun semua yg antri sama-sama ngejaga satu sama lain. Nyaman. Mungkin karena emang 99% nya cewek ya jd ngerasa aman. Becanda kayak udah kenal 5 tahun, ngomongin bias sambil ketawa-ketiwi sampai ga sadar belum kenalan hahaha 😛

Selain itu, aku juga pernah ikut Handshake Event, and guess what?

Jangankan belum lama.

Pengalaman beli CD album pertama sebenernya biasa sih, bagus.

Aku ga bilang kalau kaset JKT48 cacat semua loh ya. Tolong jangan salah mengartikan.

Terimakasih! 😀

Comparison between (fandom of) Super Junior and JKT48

Annyeong~

Being in the two crossing fandoms sometimes makes me wonder about this and that. In the early post on this bog, I wrote a post about some JKT48 fans that usually overreact to some things and sometimes end up saying bad things about Korean girlband/boyband without reasons.

No, I’m not a person enjoying ALL kinds of music from South Korea. I’m an ELF, Super Junior’s fan who once felt hurt because of an article written by a JKT48 fan (I don’t know where the link is). In that article, the writer responded to people’s critics for JKT48, but he ended up blaming South Korean boyband/girlband, including Super Junior. I don’t know what he means. To make his favorite group (JKT48) look innocent? :))))

But, as the time goes by, I find myself getting too much in love with Akicha, Rica, and BebyAkicha, especially. That’s why I tend to follow this idol group’s latest news nowadays. There are some things I find in these fandoms which are quite the same. Here is the list of comparison :3

1. Bias vs Oshimen

In Super Junior (and other groups in South Korea), the term used to call the member you like the most is Bias. It is said on English-based. For example, Gyuhyun biased, Tiffany biased, etc~ I bet you know the meaning of Bias, moreover, in English—it means that you like an object the most (more than you like other).

Meanwhile, in JKT48 (and in its sister groups), this term is the same as Oshi, or Oshimen. The most you like. I don’t know exactly about the history of this word or meaning~ I’m so sorry since I wasn’t the fan in this fandom since the very beginning ~,~ People tend to say the member’s name before the word ‘oshi’, such as: Akicha oshi, Rica oshi, etc~

If you want to change your Oshi, it is called Oshihen. Meanwhile in SJ’s fandom (and other groups), there’s no special term as Oshihen. Here are my Bias and Oshi~ They were born both on the 3rd day of their month, and they have 3-year differences and both are in the sub-unit of their own group which consists of 3 people~ Hahahaha :))) KYUHYUN GANTENG BGT This is Cho Kyuhyun…

akidvd2 ..and this is Aki Takajo..

Oh and I have one more Oshi (Hahahaha it’s okay to have another one, eh? :p), her name is Rica Leyona~ rica sosenkyo

Rica has been graduated from JKT48 when this post is updated. She is the member from Indonesia and I did want to make many more people get to know her. That was why I made a twitter of @leyonator and tumblr page on here.

2. Photocard vs Photopack

In South Korean-based groups, the term ‘photocard’ is commonly used to refer to a card with the picture of a member (individual) that is usually found in the album. There are also jacket card, postcard, and other terms, but photocard is the most choice of people to be collected. Photocard is not in a big size—it’s small~ But the price? Beuh don’t think it’ll be in low price -_- It will even be more expensive if it is Japan-licensed (the album is released in Japan), or Korea-licensed (the album is released in South Korea). To the famous members, such as Kyuhyun and Donghae, a normal photocard can be US $30, or, in Indonesia (the most expensive one) could be IDR 300.000, even more :”” The cheapest one is about IDR 100.000. I don’t buy photocards intently, but they can seriously be super expensive. If a new album is just released, you’ll know why I say it’s expensive. From this album’s normal price (the album is already provided by a photocard), the photocard (plus album) can be sold at more than US $100 if it is rare and the member is famous. The newest news even said that a Kyuhyun’s photocard are just sold at US $160. Photocard is commonly from the album or the third official party (such as from the brand working together with the group). It means that there are no special plan from the agency to release their new photocard in every week or something like that. Jacket card is the bigger card. It is called as jacket card since its size is the same as CD cover. This card id usually found from the album. There is the cheaper card, called postcard. Its size is as big as post cards, of course.

Sometimes it is from the album (especially if you buy the album earlier) but it can be sold too at SMTOWNWeek (or concert). The price is much cheaper, IDR 40.000-50.000 for a member, or IDR 200.000 for a set. “A set” of postcard means a set that consists of different members (usually 4 postcards are called ‘a set’)—so each member has only one pose. Meanwhile, in photocard, a member can have more than one pose, and there is aloso a rare card. If it is called as rare, it seriously super rare-_-

Meanwhile, in jeketi (‘jeketi’ comes from pronunciation of JKT: JKT48), there is photopack. The size is bigger and it tends to be like the postcard. Phtopack is released at the theater regularly even though the schedule is sometimes not certain. Photopack can also be gotten from the albums (regular version, that has DVD). Photopack is sometimes released with the picture of members’ body pose (but not ‘till their feets..), and then the next time a new photopack is released, it’ll be the close up version. It is called as ‘a set’ to refer a member’s photopacks (each photo has one pose) There are sometimes 2-3 poses for each member. “A set” can also be used to refer to photopacks of all members in the same edition of photopack. There are 3 teams in JKT48 (J, KIII, and trainee), and these 3 teams don’t always have the same photopack. Usually, the seifuku that Team J wear is different from what is wore by team KIII and trainee, except for special events, such as concert and JKT48’s anniversary.

The price of photopack is varied. Just like in Super Junior and other groups, popularity rate of theirs decides the price. Famous members, such as Nabilah/Melody can have the highest price of photopack. What are being the hot topic now is photopack that is a bonus from JKT48 Calendar which has a theme “Virtual HS’. Its price is seriously high. A photopack can be IDR 300.000 – 700.000 (US $30 – $70) even though it is sold without the calendar..

Besides, in jeketi, there’s also trump card. Of course its size is the same as ordinary trump cards. This kind of cards is gotten from their theater version (you can get this kind of CD only at theater/online buying to JKT48 official by their website). 2014-01-07 15.10.24 tc

3. Sub-Unit vs Team

Too be honest, it isn’t good comparison since JKT48’s and 48group’s concept is about teams. Jeketi’s sister group,  AKB48, has already had sub-units. For now, jeketi still has no sub-unit and the main classification can only be seen from teams.

There are 4 teams in jeketi: Team J, KIII, T, and trainee. Team J’s members are all members of 1st generation. The 2nd generation members are in Team KIII but some of them are still trainee. It gives an impression of being unfair, but this is their concept anyway~ Each team has its own setist to be performed in theater. Setlist consists of some songs to be performes. Team J had Pajama Drive since they were they ere trainees and Renai Kinshi Jourei as Team J (but now it has been ended). Now, they are preparing themselves for their new setlist, Dareka no Tameni.

As for Team KIII, they have a setlist named Boku no Taiyou. They once performed Pajama Drive when they were trainees. Boku no Taiyou had been performed by them since they were trainees, but after the Team KIII was formed, Boku no Taiyou became Team KIII’s setlist. The trainees sometimes become backdancers in RKJ or Bnt, or even become substitute members.

However, when this post is being updated, all members of 2nd gen of JKT48 have been members of the team: some in Team J, some in Team KIII. Team KIII is now on theater with the setlist of Seishun Girls. There are still trainess, which are new members of JKT48: the 3rd generation. At theater, trainees are divided into Red Team and Whit Team. But, since today, January 24, 2015, some of them have officially became members of Team T. Congrats!

What about Super Junior? They have no such a theater. As for the teams, sub-units are the best answer.  There are some sub-units in Super JuniorSuper Junior-M (mostly is published in China, singing songs in Mandarin), Super Junior-T (specialist in singing trot, traditional kinds of songs in South Korea—but now it is on hiatus as there are members that is still in army), Super Junior-Happy (sings happy and fast-rhythm songs, but is on hiatus too, as there are members that are still in army~), Super Junior-KRY (3 main vocalists of Super Junior–Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung. They sing mostly in ballad. SERIOUSLY AWESOME—the only sub-unit that has held their own concert but unfortunately hasn’t released any album (only a single). It is now on hiatus since Yesung is in army~), EunHae/Donghae & Eunhyuk (this is the new duo that SM Entertainment has introduced on 2011 by the song titled Oppa Oppa in Super Show 4, and then they make albums. EunHae becomes a duo as they are the most popular couple among the fans. They are, indeed, great in singing rap or dance songs~ And this the most active and busiest sub-unit, besides Super Junior-M).

But in general, Super Junior is still Super Junior. When they have to perform as Super Junior, all member will come~ JKT48 also soes the same~

The different point is, when they perform as JKT48, the members that usually come are only senbatsu members (especially in album promotion) or the members that are able to come. They have many members. Right? That can be their advantage so that they won’t feel too tired~

[UPDATE] JKT48 has already had their new and first sub-unit, which is 4 Gulali. The members of this sub-unit are Haruka (Team J), Sinka (Team KIII), Angel, dan Grace (Team T). Who knows this will be their first step to make other sub-units? Well, let us just wait! ^^

4. Blue vs Colorful

Blue is the official color of fandom of Super Junior. Meanwhile, I don’t know if there’s official color for JKT48’s fans. Even in AKB48, the lightstick for each team is not the same. So when jeketi performs, the audience bring the various color of lightsticks.

This is from JKT48’s concert~ jk

And this one is in Super Junior’s concert Sapphire-blue Both of them are amazing, right? Coooool~

5. ELF vs VVota, Sepuh, Newbie, Skyman, Ordinary Fans, A piece of A dust

ELF is the name of Super Junior’s fans, the name of our fandom. ELF means Ever Lasting Friend; Leeteuk–leader our leader was the one introduced us to this name. Even though some ELF will be different in facing problems (related to SJ), we tend to unite in the name of ELF. Everyone is one, friends and family, as each of ELF supports oppadeul. But, in ELF, there are also some people thinking that they are ‘higher’ than others.

Super Junior’s member, Siwon, once said, “You don’t need to be ELF from the very beginning, you are ELF ‘till the end.” This is why some ELF finally ‘realize’ their positions are all the same. But some new ELF sometimes are really annoying and overreacting, acting like they know about the members a lot, more than other people, and easily believe to the rumor and end up involving in a shameful fanwar that gives bad impression to the name of ELF. So, it is true that there are some of us who don’t like the ‘new’ ELF, ‘new’ people in this fandom as they do not know which matter we should prioritize. I guess~ This is because the factor of age and unstable emotion. This happens in every fandom, for sure. Basically, almost every one knows that we are all the same. ELF’s project have been conducted even in crossing countries; ,not only in South Korea or Southeast Asia, but it is also in ENglad (London) and Brazil. Every ELF is happy to communicate to each other! ~

When I came to watch SJ on Super Show 4, I was so happy in queuing since they’re all girls. So comfortable. We all talked together and laughed. Joking here and there, act like we’ve already known each other for 5 years lol, talked about our own bias and even didn’t realize we didn’t know each other’s name hahaha 😛

Meanwhile, I don’t really understand about JKT48’s fans. Mmm.. they have no official name.Wota is the common term used, but it comes from the word in Japan which refers to a person that likes something. But in Indonesia, JKT48’s fans are sometimes called as wota, or even written as vvota. There are also some people called as sepuh or skyman, which means fans that know the members well and can be the trusted sources of information. (Sepuh is Indonesian word which means ‘Old’. The use of ‘sepuh’ in JKT48’s fans means that a person has been in this fandom for a long time and now the members well. Skyman comes from the word sky + man, or ‘a person from the sky’. Sky refers to the high position which is close to the members). There are also people call themselves as newbie who tend to feel shy toward the skyman. There are also people call themselves as  ordinary fans, or even a piece of a dust (butiran debu) which have no something to be proud of and hardly/never meet the members. Even though they are all only names, but this kind of labeling can be strata that separate fans away.

But well, basically, everyone is the same. If there is voting system, fans will unite their support to their favorite members, or even building coalition. Maybe some peole will be very proud of being ‘sepuh’, but lately I always find nice peole here (in this fandom). I went to theater on December 2013, and many people smiled at me nicely (well Indonesians are known for being so kind and love to smile hahaha)~ There was even a super nice person accompanying me in queuing , explaining what would I found inside the theater, having a nice conversation, and even introducing me to some members on hi-touch season hehehe. Recently, I just realized that person is the photographer that is well-known among the JKT48 fans, Kak Atha. Even though Kak Atha forgot me (huehehehe), her kindness was really impressive. More over, at that time I was alone and lonely and that was my first time going there.

Besides, I also went to the Handshake Event once, and guess what? I met nice persons. To be in the queue of the theater or the queue to go inside the venue of HS Event, the fans, who are mostly boys, gladly gave me place to stand up in the queue. Cool, and manly! Well again, in my opinion (in JKT48 or Super Junior or other groups) the ‘bad’ fans that sometimes make us angry are only people who are still have an unstable emotion, including the fans I wrote in my earlier post.

6. Sasaeng vs Zombie

Sasaeng is the term used to call fans following members everywhere they go and even don’t mind to drive the car fast just to be close withmembers. Sasaeng can even try to hug or kiss members, or extremely, try to hurt members physically OR make themselves hurt to get members’ attention. In ELF, there are some fans following the members everywhere. There is a foreign fan who always watches their concert IN EVERY COUNTRY, any event, even until the members recognize her faces. She doesn’t even mind to give an expensive gift ti her bias’ mother. But, we can still consider this as ‘quite normal’ . She doesn’t chase the members everywhere. She comes only to the events. In South Korea, Sasaeng are given facilities by taxi drivers. The taxi drivers offer themselves to drive them to chase after celebrities’ cars or to go to their agency. Sasaeng can also be in fans’ crowd. When their Bias come, they’ll try hard to go close to him/her to hug. There is also sasaeng who tries to get personal information such as phone number and social media so they hack their bias’ account. Some sasaeng tend to be like antis (haters). They try to hurt the members, or even give poisoned drink to the members.

What about Zombie? Zombie is term used to label JKT48’s fan who follows te members everywhere. There’s an event in a city where this fan comes after the members and asks the members so many things even though they keep going and seems a bit annoyed. Being followed everywhere and always being called. Who knows members’ feeling? They probably feel annoyed. Even though they’re on holidays, they are still followed by this kinds of fans. It is right that it’s the consequence of being members. But still, fans following them around are called zombie. There is a hot topic now, some fans come to members’ house. I don’t know what they mean. Want to visit the members? Hanging around? One of members even said on twitter that she was confused and wondered why people followed embers to members’ house. In fact, they can always meet on theater and JKT48 eventst. Nah, isn’t that comment a real proof that the members feel annoyed to be zombie-ed?

7. Album&Single Super Junior vs Album&Single JKT48

[WARNING] This part may make you feel this post is too biased. After all, this part is not the core of this post, so please relax and read. I have done some updates in some parts to avoid misunderstanding.

Super Junior’s single isn’t always released on every two month. Meanwhile, JKT48 releases their single regularly. Super Junior’s single is usually released in South Korea or Japan. For example, if it is released in Japan first, it’ll use Japanese. Well, after some times, it will be released in South Korea using Korean (Korean version). Their albums and singles always have photocard inside it, especially if you buy it fast. If you buy it after a long time, it probably has no photocard. This is so pity! Even from the newest album or single, there’s also a possibility not to get the bonus.

For the first press published, it also has the bonus of poster. If it is released in Japan, there will also be ELF Japan album/single version that has a different and special bonus, such as invitation for SJ event for ELF Japan official.

I had once joined the PO of Hero in an online shop. Unfortunately, this online shop was not fast enough to order the albums, so there were some albums coming without photocard.

So if you want to get the cool album AND complete bonus, make sure you join PO in a fast online shop. The ELF Japan version of Hero album has additional bonus and special photocard which is different from the ordinary photocard.

In making albums, Super Junior sometimes make something different and unique. For example, in the album of Sexy, Free, & Single, they release it in the form of photobook (84 pages). In the last part of photobook there’s a paper which is a place of CD and the photocard and an invitation to the event held for ELF Japan official. It’s actually unique but since the place for CD is made of paper, it has some risks. Other things that are unique, for example in SJ KRY’s single; the cover is made of thing that looks like mica and each part has each member’s picture, but it will show these three members together if it is folded in the right way.. So cool! And, Super Junior’s albums are completed by their booklet (consists of their photos). There’s also a repackage album which is released after the new album, with the same songs but is added by 2 or 3 new songs The repackage album usually has no photocars, but it has a better booklet. The sub-unit’s albums are awesome too; they have booklet which consists of photos and lyrics. You can find these on SNSD’s album too. SNSD even sometimes gets chances to have a better and more unique albums. But the points are all the same, there are CD, a booklet of photos and lyrics. And also, the quality of its printing is good. The lyrics are readable and clear. In short, they are great.

How about the price?

For Super Junior album, there’s no album costs under 100.000 rupiah (for Korea or Japan licensed). It ranges from 150.000 to 500.000 rupiah. An album has various version, such as: CD only, CD + DVD, 2 CD + 1 DVD, and the bonus are also different.

Meanwhile there is no something new from JKT48’s CD (1 album and 8 singles) to be unique and attractive. Albums or singles; both are packaged in the ordinary case of CD (and DVD). What makes them different is the bonus—if you buy theater version CD, you will get trump card (random) and a ticket of Handshake Event which is an event in which you can do handshake with the member you like and have a short conversation with them~ 1 ticket = 10 secs, that’s why a person can buy many CDs. I don’t know what they will do to the CDs (resell or give it for free?). Besides, there is also the regular version which has a DVD and is sold not only in theater. This regular version also has a bonus of photopack of members who are senbatsu in the single. This is like JKT48’s album, Heavy Rotation. The version that has DVD has only DVD (well) of the MV and behind the scene, and also a photopack. The CD theater version has only trump card and HS ticket.

[UPDATE] Now, CD JKT48 has new version: Limited Edition. As it is called as limited edition, it must be special. By this version you can get more complete content and bonus. For example, for the single Papan Penanda Isi Hati, its limited edition version will give you: dance tutorial video, special photopack, t-shirt, and 2-shot ticket. Who are not interested? Of course the fans will be interested T^T

My experience in buying CD of the first album was good. I can read the lyrics well. There’s no bad things, The same thing happened when I bought the single (regular version). I first bought the theater version when their new single was KFC. IMO, JKT48 management failed in this time, to prioritize the quality. I don’t know if they only think we buy it to get HS ticket so they don’t try to prioritize the quality or something. The KFC single has black background color, right? But then the lyrics can’t be read. They are small and seems to be cut. The management should prepare to avoid this kind of things. They shouldn’t let this happen and make “black background color” as the reason. Well at first I bought it (KFC single) online and the CDs are good, I can read the lyrics well. But then when I bought them directly in theater, the quality became lower :))

I’m not saying JKT48 CDs are all bad, please don’t get me wrong. Some are bad, indeed. Some fans even complain the same thing. Oh, about the packaging, there’s something different. When I bought the CD of Papan Penanda Isi Hati, Theater version, the case is different; it is now….paper.

Well it’s like a paper (?), but not an ordinary one. It is packaged like an envelope, and it consists of CD and trump card as usual. Maybe management of JKT48 make it like this to ease fans who usually buy in a big number (to get many HS tickets), to bring them around. However, to be collected, it seems like it’s much better to use the previous case of CD 😦

Well, the price of CD JKT48 theater version is 40.000 rupiah, while the regular version is 80.000 rupiah. For Limited Edition version, the price is around 280.000 rupiah.

For better quality, you can see AKB48’s albums. I have an album titled 1830m. I think this album is good, it has a booklet and a lyrics book. This is the version that consists of 2 CD and 1 DVD. If it is Super Junior album (with 2CD and 1 DVD), the price can even be more than IDR 500.000 with the bigger size (probably due to the photo booklet) .

This is JKT48’s single~ (I can’t give a picture of their album’ Heavy Rotation, as I don’t bring it here, but it is almost the sama: it only consist of the lyrics with additional DVD and photopack) and the lyrics in this single cannot be read at all.. AT ALL =)))

Maybe I’m just unlucky. Pfft. 2014-01-07 15.11-vert

Here’s  AKB48’s album 😀 jj

Now let’s move to Super Junior! Here’s their album of SFS that looks like a photobook 😛

The case of CD is at the back side, by only a paper. This is terrible, to be honest. What if the paper is broken? How should we keep the CD? This should also be considered by the management, huhuhu.

ss Here are the albums of Super Junior M and SNSD; both have the booklet that consists of photos and lyrics~  And then, there’s their Japanese album, Hero, that also has the booklet~ kaj cats

8. Fansign Event vs Handshake Event

I’ll only write about this a bit.

In South Korean-based groups, fansign event is commonly held, as the form of album promotion or the opening of a mall. Lotte in Jakarta was originally opened by the fansign event from some members of SJ but it was cancelled because it was too chaotic. Sometimes, the fans attending fansign event are only lucky fans, but sometimes it is opened for all people.

Meanwhile in JKT48, the most popular event is handshake event. The ticket is from the CD (theater version). One ticket is 10 seconds. There’s also the fansign, it is usually held after they release their OGB (official guide book). Besides, JKT48 also once held National HS,in which the tickets were from the bonus of their first album: Heavy Rotation. This is advantageous for fans far , because they can do HS with the idols. Unfortunately, National HS was only held in some cities. Maybe that was because they wanted to make it simple. The last place of National HS was Jakarta, and it was held together with HS Festival Event with all members of JKT48.

Yep, that’s all the comparison I find~ From the term, fans, till the quality of albums. Basically, all fans’ feeling are the same. So if someone says that kpopers are seriously annoying for dreaming to be lovers of their favorite members, while in fact he also hopes to be loved by the member of jeketi, what is the point of bad mouthing? :))

It is normal for every fan to have ‘special’ feeling to his/her bias and oshimen. There is nothing wrong in admiring. Super Junior members are sometimes judged as gay since their fans love making them into couple. But in fact, some JKT48’s fans also love to pair the members and read their yuri fanfic. Well, we are all THE SAME.

In addition, it’s so much different if we talk about ‘waro’ (Indonesian term meaning ‘to be recognized’). JKT48’s fans can buy HS tickets, watch theater, tease the members just to make themselves to be recognized well, so they feel proud and satisfied. But there are also fans who supports the members with their sincere without expecting too much of being recognized :)) As for ELF which has the idols (SJ members) in South Korean, there are no such thing. We only know about supporting them by our hearts. Oppadeul also show their hearts without making ‘different country’ as the barrier. They don’t mind tweet by mentioning a name of a country and say thank to the fans. One of them even always congratulates us on our country’s independence days. All of these fanservices are not meant to make us feel recognized by them as an individual. But, as our distance is far away, we learn much about the loyalty in supporting even though we can’t meet them often.

HOWEVER, there are also some ELF who want oppadeul to be their husbands, without any doubt. Even after Sungmin (a member of SJ) has officially got married on last December, some fans decided to stop supporting him, some said that “their feelings are hurt”. But, well, some stay.

But, once again, ELF or Jeketi’s fans, we all have to remember that they live in commercial business. Don’t let yourself forget your life as you do idolling. That’s all. I hope there’ll be more mature fans.

I’m sorry if I say something offensive. If you want to add something, please give your comment.

Thank you! 😀

JKT48 General Handshake Event in Jogja: Akhirnya Bertemu!

Standard

THIS POST IS GONNA BE IN BILINGUAL. INI POST DUA BAHASA.

BAHASA WILL COME FIRST, YA!! IF YOU WANT TO READ ENGLISH VERSION, PLEASE SCROLL MORE ^^

BAHASA VERSION

Dia bales. Ya akhirnya kita ngobrol bertiga. Namanya Opi dan dia semester 3 di kampusnya. Oshi nya itu Ghaida, terus kita ngomongin banyak soal JKT48, anime Jepang, bahkan calon presiden Indonesia!

Jam 1 siang pun lewat. Masih ga ada tanda-tanda kalo presscon bakal diadain tepat waktu. Mulai jam 1 lewat 20an, orang-orang mule masuk antrian. Erika, Opi, sama aku akhirnya nemu 1 lagi temen cewek, namanya Aca (anak SMA, kelas 10). Kita jadinya antri bareng. Opi sama Aca ngobrol banyak tentang member, tapi aku sama Erika masih ngerasa agak aneh (mungkin karena deg-degan) dan nervous.

Sekitar jam 1 lewat 58 menit (aku nulisnya tepat waktu banget ya! LOL), orang-orang pada teriak tiba-tiba. Teriakan yang paling keras itu “Beby! Beby!”.

Yupi lucuuu, serius. Dia kayak adek kecilnya kita gitu. Naomi keren banget! Rambutnya agak terang gitu kan, nah itu malah bikin dia tambah cantik. Dan… Cigul! Tentu aja dia juga lucu, belum lagi senyumnya, sama kehangatannya dia pas nyapa kita.. Empat-empatnya cantik banget. Tapi aku agak kecewa soalnya Rica ga keluar 😦

Sekitar jam 3 lewat 3 menit, antrian jalan lagi. Kali ini beneran: HS event udah mulai! Aku ngerasa semangat.

Hehe! Tapi nyatanya… waktu itu…

Aku deketin Teh Rica. Dia langsung pegang tanganku, senyum, dan bilang, “Halo, makasih ya (udah dateng)!”. Aku segera jawab, “Teteeh, aku yang suka translate-in tweet nya teteh loh!”

T^T Beby sama Viny kenceng banget pas pegang tanganku! >.< Well, member terakhir itu Cigul. Dia lucu banget mukanya, terus senyum.. Dia pegang tanganku terus bilang “Makasih”, kayak member lainnya.

Aku keluar sama Erika.

Terima kasih banyak untuk hari yang menyenangkan ini, Teh Rica, Naomi, Ayen, Yupi, Dek Beby, Viny, dan Cigul! ❤

ENGLISH VERSION

Today was awesome and great!

I’m going to write about my experience joining General Handshake of JKT48 in Jogja, which had 7 members: Rica Leyona, Cindy Gulla, Beby Chaesara (all these three members are from Team J), Rona Anggreani, Shinta Naomi, Ratu Vienny, and Cindy Yuvia (all these four members are from Team KIII).

So I found on my TL on twitter someone saying that there will be a press conference of JKT48 on 1 PM in the same venue as HS event’s venue (Galeri Indosat, Sudirman Street, Jogja). I went there on about 12:05 PM from my dorm, with my friend, Erika. We arrived there too early, I guess. There were only few people in front of the venue, wearing JKT48 shirt and they all were together with friends in a group. It was quite weird for me and Erika too, since that was our very first time joining such an event.

While waiting, we saw a girl came by her own self. We smiled to her, and she smiled back, but we didn’t talk. For some minutes, we were all quiet while we sat on the same place in front of the venue. Then Erika and I decided to talk first. She replied warmly. We got involved in a conversation soon after that. Her name is Opi and she’s now on her 3rd semester on campus. Her oshi is Ghaida and we talked a lot of things about JKT48, Japanese anime, and even about the president candidates of Indonesia!

1 PM had passed. There was no sign that the press conference would be held soon. But then, on about 13:20, people started to be in a queue. Erika, Opi, and I got another girl friend, named Aca (a high school girl–she is on 10th grade). We queued together. Opi and Aca talked a lot about the members, while Erika and I still felt both nervous and weird at the same time.

At about 13:58 (see how I write the exact time! LOL), people shouted so suddenly. “Beby! Beby” was the loudest shout I heard. Members came by andong! Andong, dokar, or delman, is the house cart which are commonly seen in Jogja. Each andong had about two members. I saw Ayen only at first, because all boys in front of me were so tall T^T Ayen waved her hands and kept waving even if she had passed over us, while kept looking at us. I tried to look for another member whom I like…. and I saw her! Rica! T^T (I usually call her Teh Rica. “Teh” is a common prefix used for girls that are older, especially in Sunda.) I did want to take a photo of her on andong! But, yeah, boys in front of me were taller and they were too many of them. So well… I only saw her from far away. My heart kept feeling nervous. I didn’t even believe I would meet her very soon.

Not waiting too long, some members appeared in front of us, on 14:10! Beby, Yupi, Naomi, and Cigul came out from the venue to greet us. People took pictures with their own camera on cellphone and some called members. I couldn’t listen to their words clearly since it was noisy. I was so happy seeing Beby! She’s my first favorite member in the group and she looks happy–she’s pretty in short hair! Yupi looked cute, really. She was like a little sister for all of us there. Naomi looked gorgeous! Her hair looked bright and that made her prettier. And… Cigul! She looked cute too, with her smile and her warmth in greeting us.. All of those four were totally beautiful. Yet, I felt quite disappointed since Rica didn’t come out 😦

Members came in again. The press conference was held inside the venue so we couldn’t see anything. We kept being on the queue for more time. The line moved, and I thought “It’s the time!” but it wasn’t. The HS event had not started yet and we had to wait again while listening to the MCs (a boy and a girl). The MC asked the audience if they came from other cities. A person next to me raised his hand and told us that he came from Lampung! He came to Jogja to attend HS event and the concert to see Stella (Stella was not at the HS event but she’ll participate on the concert the next day).

On about 15:03, the line started to move. Now, it was for sure: the HS event started! I felt so excited. Staffs asked us to open our bags to be checked. While Erika and I were getting ready to enter the venue, some people had already went out from the venue. Erika asked them how it was inside the venue. They said, “Ah, maybe there’s only 2 seconds for each member!”. Hahaha! So short >.< But still, it was excited. I was especially excited to meet Teh Rica aaaa >.<

My bag got checked, my ticket got checked, and another staff sprayed the hand-sanitizer to my hands. It was a bit too much (_ _”) I had to make it dry because of it >.< Then I walked inside, turn left, turn right, and…..

There they were, standing with a white long table being put in front of them. AND THERE SHE WAS, standing at the left side so she would be the first person for me to handshake with….TEH RICA >.<

The truth is, I had prepared this before meeting her: I wanted to say , “Hello Teh, my name is Ri. I’m the one managing @leyonator acc on twitter to translate your tweets to English. Your J-Fans need that so I think of helping them, for you.” And actually many more… Hehe! But in reality… at that time…

I came to her. She held my hands quickly and smiled and said, “Hello, thank you (for coming)!”. I replied her, “Hii Teh, I’m the one who likes to translate your tweets!” Rica couldn’t hear me clearly. She said, “Pardon?” while moved her body closer to me (>.<). Well at that time I should move quickly to Naomi (who was beside her) because Erika was already right behind me, waiting for her turn… But she kept holding my hands and asked me >.< I answered her nervously, “I’m the one who translates your tweets…”. And then Rica looked understand and surprised. SHE, AFTER NODING HER HEAD, SHE SMILED WIDER and said, “Thank you!”

Aaa… Seriously, after handshaking with her, I couldn’t remember well the members after her.. I had to make sure to Erika first about the order >.< Well after Rica, there were Naomi, Ayen, Yupi, Beby, Viny, and Cigul. I seriously couldn’t think anything after meeting Rica. I only said, “Hello, keep your spirit up!”–I couldn’t think right >.< I started to think clearly when I was in front of Beby. Since Beby is my favorite member, I actually also had planned some sentences to be spoken to her. I normally would say, “Hello Beby, your eyes are so lovely. They make you look like an actress playing as Anna on ‘Amigos X Siempre’ (a telenovela series on early 2000)”. Hahaha! But at that time…..I forgot that. Rica’s smile made me going ‘blank’ T^T I only said to Beby to keep her spirit up T^T The same things happened to Viny.. I actually wanted to ask her if she likes Harry Potter series since she retweeted tweets about JK Rowling (I like Harry Potter so much so I think it’ll be great if Viny likes it too). But, yeah, I was in the midst of shock so I couldn’t say other things but “Keep your spirit up!”. T^T Beby and Viny held my hands tightly! >.< Well the last member was Cigul. She looked so cute, smiling.. She held my hands and said ‘thank you’ just like other members did. I said to her to keep her spirit up too, but then I remember of Ilin, my friend who likes her. I said to Cigul, “Eh, you know what? My friend likes you much!” She replied me, “Waah, really? Please send my greetings to her!”. So nice of her.. I said, “Okay I wil. Bye!” and she answered, “Bye-bye!” cutely, by waving her both hands.

I went out with Erika. I didn’t even look at Rica and Beby or Viny or Cigul or Naomi or Ayen or Yupi, for one more time. I felt so……’blank’. I felt like I forgot everything in the world and I had to walk forward. Outside the venue, there were still so many people. Opi and Aca had waited for Erika and I. They were going home when I hummed, “Can I ask a staff to give a gift to Rica?”. Opi said that may be allowed. At first I thought she was going to ask a staff but she couldn’t find any. So I went by myself to a girl selling JKT48’s Heavy Rotation albums. I asked her if I could ask staffs to give my gift to members and she said, “Yes, of course.” Then another staff (boy) came to talk something to this girl. After that, she told the boy-staff that I needed help. Well I had to tell him again from the beginning. I wanted to give a gift to a member but I couldn’t give it since it was not allowed. He told me that he can help me. He asked me to whom I wanted to give the gift, and I said, “Rica Leyona.” I gave him the gift and he promised me to give it to Rica.

I was soooo happy today—I met Rica, Beby, and others! I like them all. I was especially so much happy for meeting Rica! I hope she knows that I’ll always support her from far away… I hope I can meet her again, soon!

Rica, if you are reading this, I want you to know that my name is Ri. It was a pleasure for me to meet you. I have this account on twitter (@leyonator) to always support you and telling other fans who can’t speak Bahasa about what you are talking about. I hope you don’t mind.. And I hope you’ve got the gift I gave. It was on a little ‘Batik’ paper bag. Please tweet something ‘wearing’ the gift or else, so I can feel relieve because you’ve received it well. Please! >.<

Thank you so much for this happy day, Rica, Naomi, Ayen, Yupi, Beby, Viny, and Cigul! ❤

Can you believe a “jealousy” lead me to this ‘Akicha-san’?

Aside

I won’t fall for other idols too much.

That’s what I thought for such a long time after deciding to be in Super Junior’s fandom–ELF. That statement was true; I didn’t get too much in love for other idols–eventho the idols are more handsome or younger..

I’ve mentioned in this blog about JKT48 and AKB48, rite? Well, I know these groups but it isn’t like I like them (but it also isn’t like I hate them). Well when people in Indonesia started to talk about JKT48 (in 2011–when they were going to be debuted), I felt curious about this 48-things and I started to look for more information.

Shortly, I got it. I found about AKB48 which is the idol group in Akibahara, Japan, who started everything. This group has ‘branches’ or ‘sister groups’ in Japan, such as SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, and SDN48 (which is now already disbanded). JKT48 is the first overseas sister group they have and I wonder why they decide to make sister group in Indonesia, at first… I mean, people are mostly tired seeing some random girlbands or boybands here.. But then, wow, surprisingly, JKT48 is quite acceptable here. I got more curious and try harder to look for information of AKB48 (which was ended up by fangirling over them) also because of the jealousy.. Well my boyfriend didn’t stop fanboying over JKT48 and that was quite hard for me. But I didn’t know why that made me feel more curious about JKT48 and AKB48 instead of avoiding them.

JKT48 then had many other songs. I didn’t care too much at that time, to be honest. I found it more interesting seeing AKB48’s MV and enjoying their (AKB48’s) version of songs. I have to admit that I don’t really enjoy seeing girls in bikini and dancing and act like they show off their (sorry) boobs and body or something like that–that’s why I skipped some of their MVs. But their songs and seifukus are really attractive. I love them so much–the girls look so pretty; make me a bit envy :p

I remember some of first MVs of AKB48’s that I downloaded: Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara, Aitakatta, If (by French Kiss), Enkyori Poster (by Team PB), Sakura no Shiori, and some others. “If” MV was the one I enjoyed much. At first, I fell for Yukirin. But then, I saw this girl…

Image

She looks nice.. Her hair is long (which is actually not my favorite), but she made me curious (again).

At that time, I liked to wear knitted hat. That’s why I enjoyed seeing this MV since I can see this girl and another one (named Mocchi) wore knitted hats..

Image

I can see Yukirin in the middle but I didn’t know why my eyes focused on the girl on her left..

If13

…she looks extremely cute on her hat, rite?

And another song I enjoyed was Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara (which is made in Indonesian/JKT48 version not long after I watched this MV). Again, I saw this girl (but I was sure this MV was made before the “If” MV).

Can’t you see her cuteness? Here’s one more..

I didn’t know her name. I just…. I thought she looked cute but not over-cute. She’s just….. Well, I like her as an idol!

And then, I also watched this MV..

Yes!! Team PB – Enkyori Poster!!

Again, I thought I enjoyed this video because of Yukirin. Well, I did. Yukirin is gorgeous! But then, I realized I can’t help smiling seeing the same girl I mentioned above..

AKB48 - Enkyori Poster_001_1096

Can you see now why I say she’s cute?

I found myself feel curious about this girl.. I tried to look for her name.. Aki Takajo. She was born on 1991 (one year older than me) and I just can’t stop looking more information about here. She once felt so down on his grandfather’s death but she can make it through. She promised to smile as always to make her grandpa happy.. This story of hers and her grandpa remains me of my own grandpa–which makes me feel more happy to be her fangirl..

I watched her in other AKB48’s MV (or PV, actually) and I l do love the way she smiles.. Her grandpa must be right–she looks best whenever she’s smiling..

I liked her at that time, but I didn’t go too far. My bf was a fan of a member of JKT48 and I secretly had already an oshi from AKB48. No one knew this. People still thought that I was only a fan of Super Junior (which is my fav boyband from South Korea). Meanwhile, I had never been a fangirl of a girl group before. I mean–a girl group which consists of many girls in (sometimes) sexy costumes. Well.. I’ve told you I hate seeing the girls in such sexy costume or bikini, but I do like seeing them singing in their cute seifukus, while reading the lyrics of their songs which usually give so many lesson for me..

I like her at that time, but I didn’t  go too far… I even tried to forget about AKB48, because everytime I watched their videos, I would remember about JKT48 which makes me jealous due to my bf’s attention to one of the members.. But sometimes, I found myself again, sang their songs, happily..

So we came to one day on 2012. JKT48 had a special announcement: Haruka Nakagawa and Aki Takajo will be transferred to JKT48.

I suddenly felt surprised… I wasn’t sure if they said Aki Takajo.. I even type her name on Google, to make me sure she is the Aki Takajo that I like..

akiweb

My life started to change.

I watched JKT48 on TV since Akicha was among the members. I felt like I wanted to cry seeing JKT48 singing Karena Kusuka Dirimu (Indonesia version of Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara) with Akicha as the center..

I bought Akicha’s photopack without thinking.. (But now I only have one PP of her–in Nagai Hikari costume–the song in which she gets the solo part in JKT48 version–and three trump cards of her in JKT48 singles)

I got so excited when JKT48 did the live performances since I can see Akicha on TV.. On Indonesian channel.. Akicha.. In the same country as me..

With Akicha being there, I seriously felt so happy..

I wanted to come to JKT48 theater in Jakarta, but that’s far away from my hometown. Well~ I can go by train for about 7 hours but I also feel quite afraid. Many fans of JKT48 are boys and I don’t feel to confident to be alone surrounded by boys ._.

I can’t ask my bf to go (we finally have the same fav group  after I turn into JKT48 since Akicha is there) because it will be difficult for us to look for the place to sleep over then.. And my girl friends? No one of them like JKT48.. They know about it but they aren’t fans so they don’t think about going there.

I have to admit…I didn’t tell anyone but my bf that I started to enjoy JKT48. Yet, I bought every CD of them with Akicha is in the cover. I bought their 1st single and tried hard to get Akicha’s PP (I looked for it for some time in CD store, with my bf). I didn’t bought the 2nd single since Akicha isn’t the senbatsu, but I bought the trump card of her. The seller sent me the trump card…together with the CD! So, I also got the 2nd single :p

Because of Akicha, yeah, I enjoy seeing JKT48. My fav members beside her are Beby and Rica Leyona..

I didn’t participate on HS event due to the distance.. I didn’t go to theater due to the distance.. I only read the reports by some fans 😦 I said before, I didn’t tell anyone but my bf that I started to enjoy JKT48.. Going to Jakarta to watch JKT48 means I need to tell others what I’ll do there. JKT48–at that time–wasn’t cool enough for me.. Well it’s not about them, actually. What makes me think so is their fans. I don’t like some of their fans who are–sadly–quite arrogant. Read my post before to get the explanation.

But then, on the HS event for the release of their 3rd single (KFC), I decided to buy the CD (plus handshake ticket) since it was getting easier–we can order via JKT48 website. I bought tickets for Akicha and Rica. I did feel sooo happy! At this point, I don’t care what people think (to be honest, for people around me, JKT48 is quite good group but they also get bad stereotype due to their fans–that’s why at first I kept it as a secret that I like them, especially Akicha.. But some of my besties know about this and they–Thank God–respect my fav).

B U T ….

Unfortunately, I can’t go to HS event 😦

The event will be on Sunday, but I’ll have classes on Friday and exam on Monday, and the schedule of the train didn’t support my mobility (?).

So I decided not to go.. I sent my gift for Akicha to my friend on twitter..

But then..

Akicha cancelled her HS due to bad health condition 😦

hs

Eventho I didn’t come to HS, I felt so sad about this.. People say Akicha is getting bored to be in JKT48.. I think, that’s a harsh statement since we can’t really understand her feeling, rite?

One thing for sure, it is the management who takes control of her schedule.. But that’s so sad seeing her gets a lot of harsh words from some JKT48 fans.. Her ranking on AKB48 sousenkyo had decreased (she is in #20), she doesn’t get the chance to be the center in JKT48. She rarely perform with JKT48, but her career is not getting great too in AKB48 (she is also a member of Team B)..

I feel sorry for her. She just isn’t lucky lately, I guess. But that’s why we–her fans–should show her thousand of supports!!

I’ve decided to try to come to her HS later (to replace her schedule) but the schedule isn’t announced yet. I hope I can go..

Now I really have no doubt to be her fan.. I know I don’t really like some fans of JKT48 and I hear a lot of bad gossip about JKT48, but….I’ll try hard to support Akicha, as a part of either JKT48 or AKB48!

I wish her management will give her a more tolerated reasons on her uncertain schedule..

Until now, I can’t stop smiling seeing her photo in smile..
